Why Choose Custom Family Portraiture?

Custom family portraiture is a particular style of photography that provides a client with a full-service and fully custom experience.  The experience involves a process.  First, a consultation allows for the photographer and client to get to know each other.  We talk about style and wardrobe and end goals for the family portraits.  This initial step allows us to tailor not only the session but the resulting images and products for exactly what the client needs.

Next, the family portrait session is a fun event for the family.  We have a plan for the session that we created during the consultation and everyone can feel at ease.  Finally, we review the images together and select the very best ones for your order.  I have curated a selection of the highest-quality products that I believe serve my clients for years to come.  This involves measurements and placement within your home to ensure that everything fits and coordinates perfectly within your home.

Tara Flannery Photography – A Custom Family Portrait Studio

Several years ago, I transitioned to a full-service custom portrait studio.  My old business model (providing only digital images) did not serve my clients the way that I would want to be served.  I can’t bear the thought of those precious memories living only as digital pixels (not to mention the time and planning involved to create those memories).  Now my business needed to offer more to my clients and serve them better!

From my clients’ shoes, I pictured a photography service that would look at the walls in my home, discuss the possibilities of hanging those memories on the walls, measure the space, evaluate the decor, and help me to accomplish those goals.  That service was born in a new business model and I’m so happy to be providing that superior service now to my family portrait clients.  If you want a fully custom family photography service, let’s chat about the possibilities!
