Family Pictures – 3 Tips for a Fantastic Photo Session
Sometimes the preparation for a family photo session can be stressful! Once all of the outfits are planned, children are fed, and hair brushed, it’s time to relax. Here are three tips for fantastic family pictures:
Be Prepared
Start planning for your family photo session well in advance of the day of the session. You’ll need time to coordinate outfits – this is the hardest part. See my Pinterest page for tips on what to wear for your family session. Layout all of the outfits so you can see what they look like together. Plan everything down to the jewelry, socks, and shoes!! On the day of the session, make sure everyone is fed, rested, and happy.
Relax
Now that you’ve planned and prepared, it’s time to relax! Take a few deep breaths and center. Now is the time to take a few minutes to enjoy just being with your family. This is why we’re doing the family photo session in the first place – to show your true connections.
Have Fun!
Genuine smiles, emotion, and laughter make for the best family pictures. We will do some posed family shots with everyone smiling and looking at the camera. In between those posed shots are the unscripted laughs, smiles, and interaction that are truly amazing. Have fun with your family – tease them, tickle them, chase them, and just be you together.
