High School Senior Portraits

Senior portrait sessions are some of my favorite things!  I love to capture the fun, free spirit!  High school seniors are in a pivotal point in their lives.  The whole world is in front of them with endless possibility.  It’s exciting just to think about.  Our process begins with a consultation.  I want to know about you and the things that make you tick.  Are you bold and outgoing?  Are you reserved and shy?  What wardrobe will flatter you and make you look amazing?  Which location will best suit your style?  Next, we will meet for the session and since we’ve already met and had some great conversations, it’ll be a breeze!  Finally, we will meet again after the session to view all of your new gorgeous images and select the very best ones for your order.

Session with Rileigh

My session with Rileigh was absolute perfection!  We started with her Baylor outfit and I loved mixing that shirt with the greenery in nature.  Then, she put on this adorable yellow dress that also coordinated beautifully with the surroundings.  I love this shot of her twirling under the arch!  Next, Rileigh put on her cap and gown and we got a few shots in that since she only had a small gathering during graduation due to COVID.  We ended the session in her embroidered jeans and tank.  She was just in love with the image with the fence, trees, and moss in the background.  I agree that it’s an amazing shot!  I always like to include at least one close-up shot that I consider a headshot in case you need it for college.  What a great session.  All my best Rileigh…the sky’s the limit!

Mid-session. Camera in hand. Client in front of me…
and suddenly my camera starts throwing error codes.

I turn it off. Pull the battery. Take the card out.
Put everything back in and hope it works again.

And then it happens again.

Three memory cards failed on me during that shoot.

After that, I switched to Sony Tough cards—and haven’t had an issue since.

It’s one of those things you don’t think about… until you’re in a high-pressure moment and your gear has to perform.
