Why Take Staff Headshots?

For many dental and medical practices, patients spend more time with staff than they do with the dentist or physician.  The staff is critically important to the success of the practice.  Patients get to know the staff and can communicate with them regularly.  It’s a great idea then to add staff headshots to your website.  In between visits or even before the first visit to your office, patients can see the staff and know what to expect when they walk through the door.  When staff headshots are available on the website, patients become familiar with the practice and the people who run the day-to-day operations.  Familiarity breeds comfort and confidence.

Lewis, the Texas Center for Cosmetic Dentistry in The Woodlands, TX has become a sought-after location for those in search of a uniquely beautiful, healthy smile.  Dr. Lewis’ staff members each have an environmental headshot taken in the office.  On their website, you can scroll through the staff members and see them in the office.  Your favorite staff member will be there when you look up the practice.  If you’re like me, you research dentists, doctors, accountants, lawyers, and other service professionals before visiting them for the first time.  I want to know what to expect before I get there.  Having staff headshots on the website looks professional and creates familiarity and confidence in the practice.

Flat lighting = flat images. You need some angle to create depth.

This is how you end up with weird color and inconsistent tones.

Small detail, big impact—this is what brings life to your subject’s eyes.
