Senior Portraits for Guys
Senior portrait sessions for guys are a little different than they are for girls, sometimes. Of course, as soon as you make a blanket statement like that, someone proves you wrong!! In my experience, the guys tend to like images that really reflect the things that they are interested in. With guys, we still do wardrobe changes as well. I like to start with the most formal that you can go. For some guys, that’s jeans and a button down and for some it’s a suit. Whatever it is, we start with formal and move to more casual. We also incorporate props like instruments, sports equipment, and cars. These are the images that they love because it truly reflects who they are and where they are in life. And I love that part!
My Session with Thompson
Thompson is the son of a friend whom I have photographed many times. I love to create relationships with my clients – we work so well together! Everyone knows what to expect and how to get the very best images for each session. Thompson’s session happened to be on an extremely cold day but we got some amazing images with him. Dad’s friend let us borrow a Ferrari and a Tesla for the session! He absolutely loved those images with the cars. He’s a high school senior boy – of course he does! And what a unique and memorable way to mark your senior year of high school. He will be able to look back on these portraits when he has kids and tell them the story. Priceless.
