Realtors need headshots at the very beginning of their businesses.  A professional headshot goes a long way towards introducing yourself to potential customers.  All of the marketing materials need a headshot including business cards, signs, and posters.  The tech side needs a headshot as well so your website and social media can be updated.  Real estate headshots are the first thing to schedule when you open your business and get it going!  A professional headshot photographer is your best bet for this headshot.  Photographers who specialize in headshots have the equipment for headshots.  They know the right posing and angles needed to provide the most professional, flattering headshot.  Check out the photographer’s work (they should have a website with plenty of examples of their work) and choose a photographer whose images fit your style.

Headshots for Kathryn

Kathryn came into the studio for her headshot session.  She brought her husband along to help!  I love that.  He was there for support and to provide feedback on the resulting images.  He encouraged her along the way.  We started with the standard grey background which looks amazing with her black dress and hair color.  The whole point of a headshot is to focus attention on the face.  Success!  She wasn’t sure about the second dress in blue.  I suggested that we try it with the white background because I love a pop of color on the clean white.  And, well, wow!  It was gorgeous.  And the blue coordinates beautifully with her brand.  Kathryn is a realtor with Abby Realty.  Check out her HAR profile and her company website for more information.  She might just find your dream home!

Instead of a backdrop, I’m using the client’s space—capturing environmental images that feel more natural, personal, and aligned with their business.

Shooting outdoors doesn’t always mean “perfect lighting.” 👇🏻

One of the biggest challenges with natural light is inconsistency—
skin tones can shift depending on shade, surroundings, and even reflections (hello green grass 👀).

That’s why I use off-camera flash, even outside.

It helps create:
✅ consistent skin tones
✅ balanced lighting
✅ a cleaner, more polished final image

So instead of guessing what the light is doing…
