Promotional Photos

Weather you are starting your own small business or running a large corporation, promotional photos are an integral part of selling. These photos show what you do and how you do it; they are an important part of the customer experience. Customers like to know what to expect before they show up to your doors. It makes them feel comfortable and when reality matches those images, you become a reliable and credible source. You become a trusted partner. Here are a few steps to creating great marketing.

First, let’s plan your marketing message. What do you want customers to know about your product or service? What environment helps to tell the story of your product or service?
Then, decide on how best to convey that message to your potential customers. Would your customers benefit from still photos? Video? Social media messages?
Finally, we create the images to promote your business and brand. Let’s execute the plan and create something new and exciting for your business!

USTMAX

The University of St. Thomas has built a satellite campus in Conroe, TX. It’s called USTMAX and it’s situated in the center of downtown Conroe. The space is urban and modern with clean lines. Such a great space to photograph! The university now has a portfolio of images to use for marketing and promotional purposes on its website, brochures, and other marketing materials.

Lighting is one of those things that feels complicated when you’re starting out… but it doesn’t have to be.

At the end of the day—light is light.

You don’t need the most expensive setup to get good results. What matters more is having something reliable that you understand how to use.

Especially if you’re shooting outside… the last thing you want is a $2,000 light going down in the wind.

Start simple.
Focus on gear you can trust.
And build from there.

It’s easy to feel like you need all the gear to be “legit”… but most of the time, it just leads to spending money on things you don’t fully understand yet.

A solid camera, a really strong lens, and a reliable lighting setup will take you a lot further than a full bag of random equipment.

The goal isn’t to have more—it’s to have what you actually know how to use.

Start simple. Learn your gear. Build from there.

One of my favorite things about this session 👇🏻

Every single person showed up in outfits that coordinated with their brand colors—without overdoing it.

Nothing felt forced. Nothing felt too “on brand.” It just worked.

And that’s the difference.

When you’re in a business like coaching, your brand isn’t separate from you… it IS you.

So the way you show up—your colors, your styling, your overall presence—matters more than you think.

When everything feels aligned, the end result is naturally more polished, more cohesive, and honestly… just better.

Not because it’s perfect—but because it feels intentional.

But if you are a photographer, you know the real challenge isn’t getting someone in front of the camera… it’s knowing how to guide them once they’re there.

Small adjustments = big difference in how confident and natural someone looks.

And having a go-to posing flow makes everything feel easier—for you and your client. (so you don`t resort to violence 😉)
