Location Headshots

During the planning phase of our headshot session, we will discuss location. The location and background of your images has a big impact on the final look and feel of your headshots. So it’s worth taking the time to discuss and think through the options. First, business headshots can be photographed your office, my studio, another location, or outdoors. In the office or studio, we can use a studio setup or we can use an environmental setup. For some companies, the studio setup is most appropriate and provides a professional, consistent headshot for all employees. For others, an environmental or more casual location works best. Many small business owners like to have their own location in the background of their headshots. It offers a glimpse into the heart and soul of the business. In summary, take a few minutes and discuss location with your photographer for the best headshot outcome!

Studio, On-Location, and Outdoor On-Location

In the headshot examples below, you’ll see studio looks that were photographed both on-location (in the office) and in my studio. The benefit of on-location headshots is that I require very little of your time for the actual session. You can pop into my setup once I’m ready and literally just spend a few minutes with me. You’ll see the images on my iPad so that you know what we’ve created together. No surprises at the image reveal. The last examples here are outdoor environmental headshots for a realtor. She knew that she wanted an outdoor look and absolutely fell in love with her new headshots. Now she’s off and running with her new realty business!
