Headshot Photo Shoot
The headshot photo shoot starts with a little bit of planning. First, contact your local headshot photographer to discuss your goals for the headshot session. Think about how the headshot will be used so that you can communicate your needs. Will your headshot be used on a website, in marketing materials, or for social media? Or maybe it’s all of the above. That’s great! Then, plan for location and wardrobe. If you choose a studio session, ask about available backgrounds and colors. Think about your brand and style and how that will come across in the headshot. Brand colors may play a part in your wardrobe selection. If that’s not necessary, choose a solid color that looks good on you. Finally, prepare for the photo shoot by styling hair and makeup and preparing your clothes. Bring additional wardrobe options with you to the photo shoot.
Headshots for Kattya
Kattya needed an updated headshot for her company. She is in sales but I think she could start a second career as a realtor with all of the fantastic headshots that we got! She came to the photo shoot completely prepared with hair and makeup done. She brought a couple of wardrobe options to try. We used the standard grey background with a couple of options for posing. Then she changed into the pink dress and we paired it with the clean white background. I think that brings a bright fun alternative to the more corporate shot. By having both options, she can choose the more corporate option for her business and the fun bright one for personal. I love that we got so many looks from just a few posing and wardrobe changes!
