Branding Session for Big Business

A custom branding session is a photo session tailored to your specific marketing needs.  Many times, small businesses need a portfolio of images for website and marketing materials.  This is a situation where one headshot is not enough to create the content for a website, social media presence, or marketing portfolio.  Rather, a variety of images with different looks and varying scenes is necessary.  With a custom branding session, we will work through different wardrobe options together and pair the outfits with backgrounds, lighting, posing, and expression to create different looks.

But custom branding sessions can be beneficial for big business too!  Executives may need a portfolio of images for various purposes like the annual report, the website, publications, speaking engagements, etc.  Each end use may have a unique set of circumstances and requirements.  For example, the annual report needs to be photographed on a clean white background with formal dress so that the board can have a uniform appearance.  The website headshot may need a grey background with business casual attire to match the rest of the company.  A headshot for a speaking engagement needs to be active and energetic.  With a portfolio of branding images, you will be ready for that dreaded question, “Can you send me a headshot?”

What Should A Headshot Look Like?

There is no one right answer to this question.  However, all headshots should be properly lit with appropriate pose and expression for the position.  I personally like warm, friendly headshots since this is your first introduction to your clients, customers, and partners.  I also prefer headshots where the subject is looking directly into the camera and slightly leaning in to the camera because it creates a feeling of engagement.  You instantly feel connected to the person.  And that’s what a headshot is all about!
