What to Wear for Senior Portraits
Planning what to wear for senior portraits is the hardest part of preparing for the session. First, find things in your closet that you love and feel confident wearing. You can certainly buy a new outfit for the session but be sure to bring an old favorite as well. For guys, a casual look and a more formal look (for mom) may be a great option. Pick colors that look good with your skin tone as well. Stay away from patterns and pick solid colors instead. Dress all the way to your feet – so pick out shoes for each outfit. Many seniors like to bring a college t-shirt and college sign along for a couple of casual shots.
Senior Photos for Josh
I photographed Josh’s older sister when she was a senior in high school. So photographing him for his senior portraits was so sweet. She came along on the shoot which made it even better! I loved having both of them around again. We even photographed Josh in the same location as his sister. I will say, though, that the images are completely different in the same general location. I love Josh’s choices for wardrobe. He started with a dark blue button-down shirt and jeans. I think this was my favorite. I love the image of him standing by the tree. Then he changed into a maroon t-shirt which I adore with the maroon foliage. And it helps that he’ll be attending Texas A&M in the Fall. Finally, the light blue collared shirt looks great on him! Well done Josh!
