Senior Portraits for the Yearbook
Today’s high school seniors have lots of great options for senior portraits! They take the standard yearbook photo with one photographer so that they all look uniform when placed together as a class in the yearbook. Then, many seniors choose their own photographer to have a private photo session documenting their senior year. This session is lots of fun and includes wardrobe changes and props. I also like to have the senior help choose the location because many times they have a location that has meaning for them. For example, I recently photographed two seniors who were on the cross-country team at The John Cooper School. They really wanted to have at least a couple of images on the running trails in The Woodlands because this is where they spent a good deal of time in high school. Perfect!

Emily contacted me because she needed a photo for the yearbook and the deadline was quickly approaching. After her hair and makeup session, we met at the park. She wanted lots of nature in the background and an overall natural look. I love this final image with the trees and a bridge in the background. It is a beautiful shot of Emily and a headshot that she can easily take with her to college if she chooses. All my best Emily!
