Senior Portraits

It’s a great time in your life to celebrate where you are, where you’ve been, and where you are going!  High school seniors are full of potential and possibility; they can see it on the horizon.  I love capturing this very special turning point in their lives.  With an initial consultation, we sit down and talk about who you are so that we can incorporate your interests and hobbies into the portrait session.  Then, during the session, we can relax and have fun enjoying the experience.  Finally, we will choose the very best images together for your order.  Let’s put that gorgeous portrait up on the walls or all of your favorites in an album to enjoy!

Senior pictures for Caitlin

Caitlin and her mom were a joy to work with!  We had a fantastic session with lots of outfits and different looks with plenty of scenery.  Mom didn’t even shed a tear!  We all loved the final images so much.  They truly represent Caitlin, who she is and where she’s going.  All my best, in wherever you go and what you do.  You will be great!

Shooting outdoors doesn’t always mean “perfect lighting.” 👇🏻

One of the biggest challenges with natural light is inconsistency—
skin tones can shift depending on shade, surroundings, and even reflections (hello green grass 👀).

That’s why I use off-camera flash, even outside.

It helps create:
✅ consistent skin tones
✅ balanced lighting
✅ a cleaner, more polished final image

So instead of guessing what the light is doing…
I’m controlling it.

You don’t need the most expensive gear to be a good photographer.

When I first started, I thought I needed everything—top-tier camera, expensive lighting, all of it.

The reality?

A solid camera and a good lens will take you a long way.

If you’re just starting out, keep it simple:
✨ A versatile zoom lens (24–70mm or 70–200mm)
✨ Gear you can rely on and learn inside and out

And when it comes to lighting—especially outdoors—don’t overinvest too early.

Wind happens. Gear gets knocked over. Things break.

Light is light.

Focus on learning how to use what you have before worrying about upgrading everything.
