New Headshots for Brent

Brent needed a new headshot for LinkedIn.  He’s beginning the job search and wanted a new profile image to start things off fresh.  We had a fantastic session in the park with several locations and poses.  He was unsure about whether to wear his glasses or not so we tried a few with them on and off.  He was smart and removed the lenses before our session!  I love the final image look with the glasses.  His blue shirt compliments the natural greenery in the scene perfectly too.  All my best, Brent, in life and in your job search!

I have two business degrees — everything I’ve learned about photography came from hands-on experience and in-person workshops.

If you’re starting a headshot business or stepping into photography, here’s my biggest advice:

✨ Join local and national photography organizations

✨ Invest in in-person workshops

✨ Learn by doing, not just watching

Online resources are great, but there’s no substitute for seeing another photographer set up lighting, work with models, and handle real scenarios. You figure out what works for you by trying it yourself.

Because at the end of the day, your style is yours — and you only find it through practice.
