National Charity League Senior Recognition

National Charity League, Inc. (NCL, Inc.) is a non-profit national organization of mother and daughter members in Chapters across the United States. National Charity League was established in 1925, when a group of women founded the organization in Los Angeles. They supported the American Red Cross by making layettes and assembling food baskets for the hungry during the holidays. The women engaged their daughters and by 1938, the daughters formed their own group.

In 1947, all groups united to become the nation’s first mother-daughter charity. National Charity League expanded its program beyond philanthropic work to include educational and cultural activities. National Charity League was reorganized and incorporated in 1958 to become National Charity League, Inc.

Event Photography

As a Houston Event Photographer, I love to be with people and capture the special moments of an event! My favorite thing is to see the beauty in a tiny detail during an event. You might see me running to get my macro lens and then carrying a couple of cameras around to get that one special moment. And then a smile, a laugh shared between friends. Perfection! And I’ll chat with folks and joke along the way too!

First birthday parties, galas, corporate events, and anniversary parties are just a few of the events that we cover at Tara Flannery Photography. We also photograph baptisms, first Communions, and other religious celebrations. Your event is so special and you’ve worked really hard on planning all of the details. If you’re just starting a photography business… you need to watch this.

I recently showed up to a headshot session at an office building with all my gear—ready to go—and security wouldn’t let me in.

Not because anything was wrong… but because there was a miscommunication, and I didn’t have a certificate of insurance on file with the building.

It’s one of those things you don’t think about when you’re first starting out—but it matters.

As you grow and start booking more corporate or on-location sessions, these small admin details become part of the job.

Clear communication with your client (or their admin team) ahead of time can save you a lot of stress on shoot day.

One of the biggest things I hear from senior guys is:
“I don’t know how to pose…”

And honestly—you don’t need to.

That’s my job.

Most of the poses you see here are simple, natural, and just small adjustments that make a big difference on camera. The goal isn’t to feel stiff or over-posed—it’s to look like yourself, just a little more confident.

I’ll guide you through everything during your session so it feels easy and relaxed the entire time.

Senior year is coming up quickly, and sessions start filling up once the school year gets going.

The goal isn’t to have more gear—it’s to have the right gear for how you actually shoot.
