National Charity League Cypress Creek
The National Charity League Cypress Creek Chapter is a new chapter for me to photograph this year. I have photographed the Champions chapter for three years and now have added the Cypress Creek chapter this year. Each chapter has their own organizational style – some of it similar and other things are different but they have a common goal. That goal is to build community by volunteering and to build the mother/daughter relationship through time and effort together. During the senior recognition event, it is evident that these relationships have been built and strengthened.
NCL Senior Recognition
The National Charity League is an organization in which mothers and daughters work together for charity. Several organizations benefit from the hard work and dedication of these moms and daughters like local animal shelters, assisted living locations, and food banks. It builds character, pride, and relationship. Every year, the senior girls are recognized at the senior recognition event. The event is a beautiful ceremony where each girl is introduced with her awards and achievements for the year and for their commitment to the NCL. Every year I get teary listening to the letters written by the seniors for their moms. And I love watching the father/daughter dance and dream about what my daughter will look like when she’s that age.
