Headshots for Realtors

When realtors are first starting out, a headshot is the first thing on the “to-do” list!  Realtors need a professional headshot for everything from business cards, to yard signs, websites, and more.  Once you have a professional headshot, you’re off and running!  A variety of headshots with different colors and orientations will be helpful for you as a realtor.  I often suggest that realtors go with my Executive Headshot session so they can select three final images.  Since the headshot goes everywhere, they’ll have some options and can change the headshot out as needed.

Sharon’s New Headshots

Sharon is a ReMax agent and needed headshots for her business.  She planned her wardrobe ahead of time and thought about the places where she would be using her new headshots.  The business card template that she picked out was a dark grey.  So the dark grey background with her cream suit will look great on those business cards – the focus will turn to her and not a dark picture on a light background.   Since she would also need the headshots for other marketing materials including websites, pamphlets, and signs, we also used a clean white background.  She can use these shots for any white websites or for LinkedIn.  These headshots on the white background are also great for extractions.  Any graphic designer can extract her image easily and place it into the background of the marketing materials.

Do you wear glasses all the time? Then they should absolutely be in your headshot.

Because here’s the thing—your headshot should look like you.

If you wear them only sometimes, it’s up to you. But if they’re part of your everyday look, don’t leave them out just because you’re worried about glare.

There are plenty of ways I can minimize reflection—and yes, I’ve got a few creative tricks up my sleeve if needed. 😉

Let’s keep your session real, honest, and true to how you actually show up in the world.

Let’s make magic while this moment is still yours. 💫
Let’s talk color ⬇️

If your brand photos are going on your website, what you wear matters more than you might think.

We want your outfit to complement your brand—not compete with it. That’s why I always ask:

Is your site mostly white with a bold pop of color? Let’s find an outfit that matches or plays off that palette beautifully.

☑️ Solid colors > busy patterns
☑️ Neutrals + strategic color choices keep the focus on you
☑️ Brand alignment = polished, professional, intentional

Planning a branding session?

Let’s make sure your photos and website tell a cohesive story—from color to composition.
“What should I wear for my headshot?” — it’s one of the most common questions I get before a session.

Here’s my take: Start with your industry standard. What would you wear to meet a client or walk into a networking event? Then, think about how you want to show up—polished, approachable, confident?

Some clients show up in yoga pants (hey, no judgment!), but your headshot should reflect how you want to be seen professionally. A little extra effort goes a long way in making the right first impression. ✨
