Headshot Tips: Style
Your own personal style is important to your headshot. Bring your personality and your distinct voice to your headshot. Not every headshot needs to be formal and corporate. It can be what you want to make it so have fun with it! Consider your position, company, and your next steps when styling. Consider a few ways to make your own style shine and if you need help, reach out and ask!
- Color: bring in color to your wardrobe in the form of a jacket, dress, scarf, or other accessory
- Formality: clothing can be formal or casual, depending on your industry and role
- Glasses: do you wear glasses all the time? Do you want them in your headshot?
- Pose: poses can be formal or casual, depending on your style. A tighter crop on the headshot serves a purpose but wider crop can tell more of a story and show your style.
- Expression: do you want to convey a more serious tone (non-smiling or a small smile)? Or are you in a role that needs a warm, welcoming smile?
