First Birthday Cake Smash Session
Among the many life milestones that we celebrate, your first birthday is so fun! First, it means that you’re probably walking or thinking about it which brings so much joy and accomplishment. Also, you’re starting to explore the world at your own level and discovering new things all the time. Your first birthday can include a cake smash where Mom and Dad let you just dig your hands into the cake and go to town. That first taste of the sweet, sweet icing is something to behold. It’s amazing to watch the discovery of something new. And to remember that we’re all discovering things our whole lives, just on different levels. In the end, it’s all about the journey and the first birthday cake smash is a great way to start!
My session with the Soun Family
Another little cutie in front of my camera. Brother and sister had portraits together to celebrate Riley’s first birthday. Then she got to have a cake all on her own. Since we’re still being cautious with Covid, she didn’t get to have a party but she still got to have cake! And really, that’s what birthdays are all about – CAKE! When Mom gave her the cake, she didn’t know what to do with it. She dipped her fingers in the icing but didn’t like the feeling of being dirty so it was a short discovery. I’m sure that she enjoyed that cake later though, with proper utensils.
