Corporate Working Photos

Many times during or after a headshot session at an office, I will take what I call “action shots”. These images are corporate working photos that show collaboration and teamwork. Usually a group of two to three people working and talking makes a great image. If we can add a prop like a graph, chart, or illustration, it makes the image even more dynamic. These photos are a great addition to the company website, promotional materials, and even earnings reports. Clients and partners can see a team interacting and solving the problems needed for business to run smoothly. It is a powerful way to communicate your value in a few simple corporate working photos.

Orion Carbons

After we finished headshots for the leadership at Orion Carbons, we took some corporate working photos. The leadership team was gathered for a meeting and we were able to get the photos before the meeting started that morning. We set up several groups of two to three and even a few more people to stage the working photos. Some groups were discussing strategic direction and others were talking about the weekend plans. We used an iPad, company charts, and marketing materials as props for the photos. You can truly see the interaction among the group and that made for some great images!

You hear people say you only get 18 summers with your kids, and now that mine are grown, I understand just how quickly those years really go. Once college, work, relationships, and their own schedules enter the picture, getting everyone together at the same time gets a whole lot harder.

So don’t wait for the “perfect” year for family portraits. Document the family you have right now—the missing teeth, growth spurts, changing personalities, and even the little bit of chaos that comes with it.

Because one day, getting everyone in the same place for a family photo might be the hardest part.
