It’s a great idea to capture all the details and highlights from your corporate events. Whether it’s a company bar-b-que or a retirement dinner or a showcase for clients, photos from your corporate event can be shared and enjoyed by many. You can use the photos to promote your next event or just enjoy the memories. Show the shareholders what good you’re doing in the community or how you are honoring the leaders of the firm. A professional photographer will expertly capture everything from the small details to the major milestones of the event. Need some action shots for your next marketing brochure? Emerson contacted me several months before a company BBQ and wanted to see my event work. After providing a sample gallery for review, they were ready to book the event. They wanted a photographer to capture the details, customer awards, and facility tours. What a fun event! After dinner and awards, we walked through the facility on a guided tour. People asked questions and watched pieces of actual manufacturing. Emerson’s customers now have a greater understanding for the process having seen it in person.

If you’re just starting a photography business… you need to watch this.

I recently showed up to a headshot session at an office building with all my gear—ready to go—and security wouldn’t let me in.

Not because anything was wrong… but because there was a miscommunication, and I didn’t have a certificate of insurance on file with the building.

It’s one of those things you don’t think about when you’re first starting out—but it matters.

As you grow and start booking more corporate or on-location sessions, these small admin details become part of the job.

Clear communication with your client (or their admin team) ahead of time can save you a lot of stress on shoot day.

One of the biggest things I hear from senior guys is:
“I don’t know how to pose…”

And honestly—you don’t need to.

That’s my job.

Most of the poses you see here are simple, natural, and just small adjustments that make a big difference on camera. The goal isn’t to feel stiff or over-posed—it’s to look like yourself, just a little more confident.

I’ll guide you through everything during your session so it feels easy and relaxed the entire time.

Senior year is coming up quickly, and sessions start filling up once the school year gets going.

The goal isn’t to have more gear—it’s to have the right gear for how you actually shoot.
