Best Environmental Portraits

Headshots can be all manner of things depending on your particular brand and usage needs.  If your brand is professional and formal, your headshot should be too!  If your brand is more relaxed and casual, so should your headshot be.  When planning for the headshot session, it’s best to discuss things like branding and style.  We will also discuss how you’ll be using the headshots.  The end usage may determine some factors of how I photograph you.  If you are a realtor and need a long banner image for your website, we will be sure to include a horizontal image that can be stretched for that purpose.  If you are an executive in a high profile firm in downtown Houston, we may photograph you on a clean white background so that your headshot can translated into that scene.

Headshots for Grovas and Payne

Attorneys Grovas and Payne needed professional headshots for their new business venture.  After hair and makeup for both women, we met at their shared office space.  I suggested that we capture some standard headshots and then we talked about environmental portraits as well.  The shared office space had a modern waiting area with lots of texture and light.  Perfect!  We photographed both women for a headshot in this environmental scene and then one shot of them together.  I love the warmth and lightness of these images!  To me, they are friendly and approachable but still professional.  Just the image that you want to portray when starting a new business.  Environmental portraits are a great alternative to the standard studio look.  I like to capture both so that my clients have options for all of their marketing needs.
