Linked In is like Facebook but for professionals. Okay, that’s an oversimplification but ideally Linked In should be the place where you put your best foot forward. You present yourself in a professional manner for the purposes of connecting with people both in and out of your field of work. People hire people. You never know when you might need one of those connections to find a new job, hire someone else for a job, or find useful information. People hire people. A great head shot is the first impression that you make on Linked In. People see that image of you first, above and before anything else (credentials, work experience, or how perfectly matched you are for this position). You want that image to be professional and true to who you are. I think that’s what we accomplished with this beautiful image of my friend for her Linked In profile. It’s sized appropriately for the media and it’s true to her! Mission accomplished – let the connections start rolling in!
